What a weekend!

This weekend we started our "Easter Holiday." We will be leaving on Wednesday on a proper Holiday to Chile, but in the meantime daddy is home from work and we have been in "vacation" mode. Luka and Daddy spent the whole weekend in a Lego trance building the many presents Luka received for his birthday. We have a Lego exposition in Luka's room and he is really proud of it. Daddy is a little dizzy from the Legos, but he loves every minute of it. So nice to see Luka get excited about Legos...it took him a while.

Sunday was a full day. We started with lunch at the tennis club. JJ and I went to workout but then the whole family had lunch at the club after some exercise. This is Sammy's face lately...he makes it all the time. He does it every time he doesn't like something. I love it. I know he isn't happy when he does it but I can't help but laugh. Oh Sammy!

Luka eats his salchipapa in 2.2 seconds. That boy loves his french fries. He also ate his brother's plate.

Time for some soccer after lunch.

Then later that Sunday we were in for a real treat. We were invited to Nicole's house. Nicole is Sam's classmate and basically is girlfriend. They both talk about each other all the time. Sam just recently started to talk a little more and the name "Nicole" is definitely one of his greatest hits. Apparently they spend a lot of time together in school. Sam pushes Nicole on the swing and Nicole like to share her snack with Sam.

Mariel & Jose (Nikki's parents) invited us to come over for a laid back Sunday BBQ. Here they are in the sandbox. Aren't they cute?

Nikki's mom showed us some of the drawings they have done. Guess who that is? It looks like a 12-year old Sam, but Sam nonetheless. I wish I could draw like that!

The biggest thing that happened this weekend is that Sam is now free of his "tete" aka pacifier. Lately we had reduced his pacifier use to the car and sleeping at night. But it had started to become annoying when we would forget it or he would wake up in the middle of the night because it fell out of his crib. So Friday, cold turkey, we did it. We told him tetes were for babies and that was it. He was a little cranky at nap and bed time but all in all I have to say it was pretty easy. It is Wednesday today and the tete is GONE forever!
